We all want to experience a sense of community. To have a group of like-minded people, speaking the same language, who are on the same page supporting each other as a collective. Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.
Because you need to have friends. Finding your peeps is important- acceptance, understanding & support are what we crave in friendships. Deep heart-felt love & a soul connection. Who we create who we meet on a deeper level. Your personal reality begins inside of you when we are aware of what is going on inside of ourselves & are connected to our core self, what happens to us on the outside reflects this. The people we meet, the people we connect with, they all gravitate to what it is that we project.
My friends are everything, really. I’ve got rich friends & broke friends. I’ve got Spiritual friends and friends who couldn’t care less about spirituality. Friends who are under-motivated, over-motivated, stylish, don’t give a care, self-absorbed & incredibly generous.
Why did I mention all these? Because these are all relative attributes. And because I’m all of those things at different times, to different people. Resonance trumps attribute. Love doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor. I try to remind myself that sometimes less is more- that even with a few hundred followers, only a small percentage of those actually care to read what I write. I do not have to worry about what everyone else is doing. If my message is on point, then my tribe will follow. If I continue to speak my truth, then they will stick around.
Believe it or not, our people do typically look like us one way or another, but magic happens when we stay open to the feeling and not form. Your Tribe isn’t about Sameness, it’s about Resonance. You know, the ones that make you feel the most YOU. The ones that lift you up in prayer and help you remember who you are. They are the ones that, even if you don’t see them face to face as often as you’d like, you see them heart to heart. You know, that kind of Tribe.
