Some of the Bible characters that we read about in the Bible are those that were conscious of their responsibilities and who they were in Jesus Christ. To be conscious is to be alive, to be awake, and to be able to recognize who you are in Christ. Gone are the days when Christians were much more acquainted with the authority they had in Christ. Today, many are no longer alive to their responsibilities in Christ, and they don’t have the assurance to take the Word of God as true and stand on it.
One of the things that God wants you to do is to be cognizant of who you are. When you know who you are in Christ, it would be difficult for the devil to give you a false identity. It would be difficult for anyone to tell you otherwise. The problem these days is that many are ignorant, not well informed. An uninformed Christian is one that cannot be in the right spiritual frame of mind and doesn’t care to know the truth that sets free. You as a believer must be mindful and take notice of every single Word of God concerning you. You must observe the nitty-gritty of the Word of God and be able to perceive in your mind all that God has done for you.
Who am I that the highest King
Would welcome me?
I was lost but He brought me in
Oh His love for me
Oh His love for meWho the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I’m a child of God
Yes I amFree at last, He has ransomed me
His grace runs deep
While I was a slave to sin
Jesus died for me
Yes He died for meWho the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I’m a child of God
Yes I am
In my Father’s house
There’s a place for me
I’m a child of God
Yes I amI am chosen
Not forsaken
I am who You say I am
You are for me
Not against me
I am who You say I am
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 1 John 4:4 (NLT)
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 (NLT)
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 (NLT)
There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going. John 14:2-4 (NLT)
