We are bombarded with so many reports nowadays. Many of these reports are capable of hindering our healing, our journey of faith and even our eternity.

“But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:50 (NLT)

In the above passage, Jairus was faced with many conflicting reports; first, while he was still with Jesus, hearing His words of authority over sickness and death, (While Jesus was still speaking Luke 8:49) report came that his daughter is dead. But Jesus’ own report says “…Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed” Luke 8:50 (NLT).  Whose report should he believe? Then, on getting home, people were wailing and mourning because they knew the child was dead. But Jesus’ own report says: “Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she’s only asleep” (Luke 8:52) NLT. Hence, the people laughed at him. Whose report should he believe?

Satan, the world, and the flesh bring many reports to us on seconds’ basis, but you can counter them with God’s own reports.

They say: ‘It’s impossible.’ God says: ‘All things are possible’ (Luke 18:27)

Flesh says: ‘I’m too tired.’  God says ‘I will give you rest’ (Matthew 11:28)

Flesh says: ‘Nobody really loves me.’ God says ‘I love you’ (John 3:16)

Flesh says: ‘Nobody cares for me.’ God says ‘I care for you.’ (1 Peter 5:17)

Flesh says: ‘I can’t go on.’ God says ‘My grace is sufficient.’ (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Flesh says: ‘I can’t do it.’ God says ‘I can do all things.’ (Philippians 4:13)

Flesh says: ‘It’s not worth it.’ God says ‘It will be worth it.’ (Romans 8:28)

Flesh says: ‘I can’t forgive myself.’ God says ‘I forgive you.’ (Psalms 103:3; 1John 1:9)

Flesh says: ‘I can’t afford to.’ God says ‘I will supply all your needs.’ (Philippians 4:7)
