YOUR GOOD DAYS OUTWEIGHS THE BAD DAYS; STOP COMPLAINING!

If some of us knew the extent to which God has shown His goodness, we would stop complaining and give thanks instead. We fail to see His goodness, because we have let the world define what ‘good’ means. I have come to realize that the reason some people complain is that they don’t have the material things they believe they’re entitled to. We have let the world define what happiness and peace mean to us. Social media, one of the leading causes of depression and low self-esteem, has made some believe that they’re not good enough because they see people on media platforms who appear to be happy and be at peace.
We will undoubtedly face hardships, that’s a certainty. God didn’t promise a trouble-free life. Even the Bible tells us in John 16:33 “…here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows…” (NLT) However, God also told us that we should take heart and that He will be with us during these trying periods. We sometimes think that because God hasn’t given us what we ‘WANT,’ that He isn’t a good God. I’ll remind us that Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:19 that God will take care of our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. (NLT) The key word here is ‘NEED.’ Our wants and our needs are two different things. Most of our ‘wants’ come from craving things that we see on social media. Truth be told, some of these folks that we idolize on social media would give their all to be in the position that we’re in right now. They may appear to be happy on social media, but chances are they probably don’t have the peace of mind that we have. With material things like having millions of followers on social media, earning high wages, and owning big houses, the world has made many forget that God is the primary source of satisfaction.
The world can provide us with peace, but the peace it gives isn’t the same kind of peace that God gives us. The peace that God gives us “exceeds anything we can understand…” Philippians 4:7 (NLT) One thing God doesn’t do is lie. His word is true, and it never returns to Him void. He promised to supply all of our needs according to His riches. God knows our every need even before we ask Him. We should also not forget that He loads us with daily benefits. Don’t let what you see on social media fool you into thinking that God hasn’t given you enough. Folks, your circumstances shouldn’t make you question or doubt God’s word. His word is ‘yea and amen.’ Forget about what your circumstances say right now; your good days outweighs your bad days.
