At some point in our lives, we will face hard times, difficulty, and even moments where we will ask ourselves if God actually exists. Moments like these are inevitable. We were told in John 16:33 that “… Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (NLT) God didn’t say things would be all sweet and rosy, but what He’d promise us is the peace of mind, knowing that we have Him. Since He overcame the world, we, too, shall overcome. I’ve learned not to question God because I know whatever He does, He always has a reason for it. Since I know He has my best interest at heart, I’m always at peace.
There are times when I think to myself, “Lord, how is this situation going to be possible when all odds are clearly against me,” but then I remember that I serve a God who makes a way out of no way. Who would have thought Lazarus would still come back to life even after being dead for 4 DAYS!!! The feeding of over 5000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish is another instance of what only God can do. Even today, President Trump being in office only tells us that God still springs up surprises. Many, including myself, thought Clinton had the presidency in the bag since the primaries, but God turned things around. No matter what we may say about Russia meddling in our election, one can’t deny that God, one way or another, was involved. I mean, this man had no prior experience. All odds were against him! One lesson learned from this is that God qualifies the unqualified.
Folks, because you are going through hard times now doesn’t mean that God isn’t working in your favor. Daniel 11:32 tells us that “…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (KJV). This verse should serve as a constant reminder to all believers that as long as we know our God, we are more than conquerors. Whatever tricks the devil has up his sleeves, it won’t last. It’s easy to get discouraged when we don’t see God stepping into our troubled situation right away, but that’s just the trick the devil uses to intimidate us. God’s silence doesn’t necessarily mean that He isn’t working things out behind closed doors. Remember, the teacher is always silent during the test. So it is with God, He is testing our faith. Whenever the devils throw a problem at you, you are to remind him that you have a God that is bigger than that problem. It is now up to us to either give in or keep the faith going. My advice to you is to keep the faith going. He is still in the business of performing miracles!
You moved mountains
You caused walls to fall
With Your power Perform miracles
There is nothing that’s impossible
And we’re standing here
Only because You made a way. πΆπ΅
