WHO DO YOU SAY YOU ARE?

Hey, Y’all! Hope you didn’t have a Monday-ish Monday yesterday. Monday is my least favorite day of the week, and I’m sure many of you would say the same. It’s a good thing I wasn’t born on a Monday, if not I would have questioned the love my parents have for me.😄 Anyhoo, I woke up this morning asking myself this question: WHO AM I? This was pretty unusual for me to wake up on a Tuesday morning and ask myself such a question. On a typical day, I would have gotten up, said a little prayer and head to the shower or something, but this issue got me thinking. I sat up on my bed trying to come up with an answer.
I thought this would be one of those days where I would just sit in my room all day saying to myself that ‘I am a nobody, and I have no purpose here in life,’ but no, it wasn’t. I was reminded of 1 Peter 2:9 that reads “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, …” Just knowing that I’m God’s special possession, keeps me going. If God calls me his ‘special possession,’ who am I to say otherwise?! It is up to us to choose to either stick to what God calls us or to allow the label the world gives us to manifest.
It is very easy to forget who you are when doubt creeps in. One of the goals of the enemy is to bring us to a state where we start to question who we truly are, if we really have a purpose here in life and if life is truly worth living. It is our goal, though, as believers, to stop him in every track. I won’t stand behind a computer screen and tell you that this is easy, but what I can assure you is that as long as you leave everything in God’s hands, you’ll begin to see God’s hands in everything. REMEMBER THAT!
